testimonials of the crtg/pfms spe program

“I can’t imagine entering this profession without the experience gained in Levels 2 and 3 (of PFMS’ court connected mediation SPE program). Beyond connecting with seasoned professionals, I was able to refine my skills and begin shaping my own approach to family mediation. While I’m committed to continued learning, these courses gave me the confidence to move forward on this path.” -Alex

” The instructors and coaches were outstanding, offering real-life examples and invaluable insights into the art of mediation. Their expertise and guidance have significantly contributed to the development of my skills as a mediator.  The way our instructors introduced key concepts and seamlessly guided us into mock sessions was truly remarkable. Every moment spent during Level 1 and 2 of my internship has been invaluable, and I deeply cherish the experience. I highly recommend this program to anyone aspiring to become a mediator.”- Sonja

“Completing Levels 1 and 2 of the Supervised Practical Experience (SPE) program with (CRTG) and Peel Family Mediation Services has been a truly empowering and transformative experience. As someone who entered this field driven by a passion for helping families navigate conflict with dignity and clarity, the 50-hour simulation in Level 1 provided an excellent foundation in ethical practice, cultural competence, and the complexity of family dynamics. Level 2 allowed me to witness real-life mediations in court-connected settings, where I observed diverse mediator styles and saw the human impact of effective communication and structured process. These observations deepened my understanding and affirmed my commitment to becoming an accredited family mediator. This journey has not only strengthened my skills but has also reaffirmed my purpose, to create space for resolution, empowerment, and healing in moments of difficult times.” – Nadia

"Thank you for leading an impactful program that sets students up for success; it is intentional and creates an optimal place to get real life experience.

It strengthened my skills and prepared me to create meaningful impact for the families we serve. The combination of hands-on experience with thoughtful feedback, increased my confidence.  The approach to learning is encouraging, clear, and focused on helping you to succeed. The sense of connection and support within the network is powerful.   What truly stands out is the team support; everyone plays a key role in keeping the learning going.  Mentor coaches bring energy and a genuine commitment to set you up for success. Each mentor created a learning environment that inspired me to keep growing.  I appreciated having the opportunity to work with a variety of styles and learn new approaches to the similar issues.

I learned a great deal with Gerard in my 1:1, having his expertise really connected concepts for me and feel better prepared to discuss child support.  Bonnie and IRCs are all a pleasure to work with.   I am grateful for this program as it sets the foundation for my practice.  " -  Josie
